Welcome to Kestrel Cottage!

•There is a JBL disc Bluetooth speaker that you can listen to your music with.
•Sign on to your own Netflix account or use ours named Cottage
•Please turn off all lights and electronics when leaving as we use only solar power and are totally off the grid. Try to conserve energy use! Turn off unnecessary lights when not in use.
•Please conserve water. We use only rainwater and have cisterns for rainwater collection. Turn off all taps tightly.
•The water is filtered and you can safely drink it from filter spout located on the right of the kitchen sink.
•Do not leave open food on the counter as we are somewhat in the elements and ants can have a feast on your cookies!
•When leaving for the day, please close all windows and doors as the rain will soak everything.
•Kayaks are under the grey deck skirting facing the pond. You can launch them from our dock into the pond and head out into the harbour.
•(2) Paddle boards are located on the other side of the main house by the waters edge. Paddles are in the storage area to the left of the outside shower.
•The reef is located just off North Beach, just a few hundred feet away from the cottage. Look for the darker patch of colour in the sea towards the western end of the beach and swim a few feet out to see some great sea life.
•Do not go beyond the channel in the kayak if the seas are rough and you are not familiar with the surrounding areas. •There is an outside shower on the channel side of the main house for your use. Its fun and everyone loves it.

If Heidi and Inky, our sweet rescue dogs bothers you at all, just tell her firmly to go away and definitely insist that there is no jumping up if she wants to play with you. She will listen and you can tell her to go home with a stern voice. She loves people and wants only to play, swim and retrieve !

No sandy feet in the cottage please. We are off the grid. Please be conscientious of turning off lights, fans, electronic. Our water is supplied by rain collection. Please conserve.
